Business Development Manager

Deep-Insight is a leading European B2B Customer Experience (CX) company founded in 2000 acquiring a small team of ‘magicians’ which had one goal: researching a way to read customers’ minds. Today our tools are used to support CX programmes in Europe, USA and Australia for clients such as Atos, BT, Irish Life, Santander, Serco, syncreon and VISA. Based in Ireland, Deep-Insight is a small organisation with big international ambitions. If you believe the customer must be at the heart of everything a company does, and you are looking for a dynamic organisation to build your sales career, this role is for you.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated business development manager to sell into Enterprise-level companies in the Irish and UK markets, typically to companies with annual turnovers in excess of €1bn. The primary objective of this role is to identify and generate sales leads, pitch Deep-Insight’s solution to prospective clients, and to negotiate and close sales. This is a fantastic opportunity for a salesperson with several years’ experience in business solution sales. (Here’s a little caveat: this role might also suit a more experienced salesperson looking to work 3-4 days per week. If you’re really excellent at sales, we can be accommodating!)

Skills and Experience

A minimum of 5 years sales experience in sourcing, negotiating and closing sales in Ireland and/or the UK
Proven track record in selling corporate solutions of €100K or more
Excellent communication skills: the ability to articulate all aspects of Deep-Insight’s proposition to prospective clients is a must
Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong personal network
Sound business acumen with the expertise to construct commercials proposals, and to negotiate/ close deals
The candidate must be comfortable in pitching to CEOs and Sales Directors in large organisations
Experience in CX solutions would be an advantage but a “Customer At The Heart” attitude and belief is more important

Reporting to the CEO, the candidate’s primary role will be responsible for finding prospects, following up on business opportunities, preparing sales presentations, making sales pitches, issuing proposals, closing sales and negotiating with procurement teams
Liaising with the Operations team in Cork to agree project scope and timings, and to schedule the delivery of projects
Tracking and reporting sales leads and opportunities on Salesforce and ensuring effective communications within Deep-Insight about the status of opportunities
Introducing new product developments to prospective clients and supervising the creation of new marketing materials

Dublin OR London.

Although Deep-Insight is headquartered in Cork, most of the company’s current clients are based in Dublin and London. The candidate is likely to be mobile so location is not particularly relevant.

The role is a full-time role but a part-time option will be considered for a candidate of outstanding quality.
